Photo Ten

30-Day Photo Project, day ten

A picture of the person you do the most ****** up things with

I must admit (no surprises here) I am not really one to do messed up things. Even when I’m a bit intoxicated, I am pretty boring. I follow the rules. I go to sleep earlier. I’m more likely to be watching a movie than stealing a road sign.

That being said, I love the mini in-home adventures I have with my former roommate, Jamber.

We do things like drunk cleaning out the cupboards. Or vacuuming.

But our favorite thing to do after having a few strawberry daiquiris is to cook.

Terrible, terrible idea.

Once, we wanted to make a cheesecake from the Jell-O no-bake cheesecake pack I had. We got everything ready and then discovered we did not, in fact, have a pie tin. This frying pan is about the same size! Let’s use this! Instructions: let refridgerate for four hours.

Ummmm. No. How about a half hour or so? That should work! In case you are wondering, soupy not-chilled cheesecake is not good.

Another time we made a cake. Because if there is anything two drunk girls need, it’s to be running an oven. So we make the cake and everything goes fine.

We take the cake out of the oven and proceed to stare at it.

“Can we frost it yet?”

“No I think you have to wait until it cools.”

*Waits approximately two minutes, all while staring at the cake.”

“Yeah, I think it’s good.”

So, we had a glazed cake instead of a frosted cake. All the frosting melted down into the cake. It actually wasn’t too bad.

Oh, and then there was her dog. There isn’t much more effed up than that poor little puppy. But we love him anyways.

Things I love: Puppy Edition

I love puppies. Big, small, old, young, doesn’t matter.

Dogs can brighten my mood no matter what kind of day I am having.

I am having serious withdrawals. Yes, my grandparents have a dog. However, she is more like a crotchety old lady than a real dog. And she is one of the only dogs in this world I don’t like. And I even like her sometimes when she snuggles with me and doesn’t just bark at me.

My love for dogs is confirmed by the covers of my last two albums on the book of face. This cracked me up.

PS Sorry the writing is in Spanish.

Our last dinner

Tonight was my last dinner with Amber as a roommate.

We had pizza and beer, the perfect moving day meal. So I only helped them carry like four things downstairs. I still get to eat pizza and drink beer!

I wasn’t the only one either.

Someone else in the house likes beer a little too much, too.

Toby - beer

No mom, *hiccup* I'm not drunk!

Saying goodbye to my roommate and her babies

So my roommate moves out in three days.

I can’t believe it. I am going to miss her like crazy.

The funny thing is, I was friends with her before we lived together but I had no idea how good of friends we could be.

We met freshman year of college. By chance. I went to one Stage (the theatre group on campus) meeting during my entire time here. And at that one meeting I met another nervous freshman. Hey, we both like theatre! Let’s get pie sometime at Hillside. Four years later, she is one of my bestest friends.

And she brought two new loves into my life. Toby and Parker. Who may piss me off sometimes, but who I love with my whole heart.

What I love most is the differences between them. Toby is the older, calmer one. He loves to cuddle but he is as dumb as a rock, if not dumber. It’s lucky he is sweet and wonderful, because he could never survive on his own. And he loves boys. It only makes sense that I would have a gay dog.

Then there is Parker. Who has more energy than any other dog I have ever met. She also has the most affection. She is so desperate to show people how much she loves them that it sort of comes across as complete spastic behavior. Ok, maybe that is part of it too. She is smarter than Toby too. You can tell she is always trying to work through things.
